Today, we will review the world of fairs and stands throughout history and the significance they have had in their different stages. In ancient times, fairs were commercial events held in central and busy places, such as squares or markets. These events served for trade and to exchange news and knowledge, as well as food and products. Our main example is the Athens Fair, which was held every year to honor the Roman gods. In the Middle Ages, fairs remained commercial events, but they also became places of meeting and recreation. We can take the Hamburg Fair as an example, which became one of the main commercial centers in Europe. Today, we have thousands of fairs around the world because different companies that have been created have realized that this is an effective way to promote products and services and, above all, to attract potential customers. It would be safe to say, then, that the essence remains the same since the beginning. There have also been changes regarding the design of the stands; they are now much more sophisticated, and excellence is sought in each of them since their main objective is to attract attention and attract visitors. Below, we leave you some examples so you can see the difference in concept in the different stages, where you can appreciate, without a doubt, that the trend in all of them has been to bring together groups of people with common interests to create synergies and cooperations of various kinds.
